Description
The DVT 2600 is a modern and easy-to-use pneumatic compression device that can be used in patients at risk of DVT. It can be used as a supplement to anticoagulant medications, or in cases where it cannot be used for various reasons, in the postoperative approach, in treatments for hemiplegia (stroke), to reduce the risk of DVT in patients planning a long hospital stay.
Intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) machines have separately fitted thigh, calf, and foot sleeves. Blood flow can be stimulated up to 500% with the help of the air supplied alternately to the interiors of these handcuffs. This makes them effective in preventing DVT.
